Price is the result, sentiment is the process. The Market Sentiment Value turnsbullish/bearish discussions by traders on social mediainto a quantified number from 0–100, helping you see "what the crowd is thinking right now."
The Market Sentiment Value (MSI) daily extracts bullish/bearish tendencies from traders' public discussions of individual stocks on social media, weights them by sample and normalizes to 0–100: higher means more optimistic (greed), lower means more pessimistic (fear). It isindependent of price action, capital flows and institutional data, and is a separate observation line.
We lock in a batch of real trader accounts as a fixed sample pool, daily collect their public discussions and classify them by a sentiment dictionary, then compile the index after tallying the bullish ratio. The sample is fixed, ensuring comparability.
Two types of usage: ① Look at extremes—when sentiment stays at a high or low level for a long time, the crowd's consensus itself is worth noting; ② Look at divergence—price is rising but sentiment is weakening, or price is falling but sentiment is strengthening, which are often signals worth watching.
Sentiment is "expectation", capital flows and dark pool are "action", short selling and options are "bets". When all four point in the same direction, the signal is strongest; when they diverge from each other, it indicates disagreement.
